Reviews for Trattoria Da Lepri
Review highlights
Based on 188 reviewsTrattoria Da Lepri is widely praised for its expertly crafted Italian dishes that balance traditional flavors with thoughtful seasonal specials. Reviewers consistently highlight the attentive and accommodating service, noting the restaurant’s flexibility with dietary needs, including allergy considerations and vegan options. The ambiance is described as inviting, complementing a menu that, while not extensive, focuses on quality and freshness, particularly in antipasti and main courses. Patrons appreciate the fine dining experience reminiscent of larger metropolitan areas, coupled with a well-curated wine selection and standout cocktails. Some feedback mentions the higher price point, which is generally seen as justified by the superior culinary execution and overall dining experience.
Every single dish is perfectly composed, and they readily accommodate all food allergies!! We loved the calamari, meatballs, and burrito apps - plus the delicious seasonal specials: the pork chop and Pavlova (pictured). Highly recommend the Elderflower Martini as well. This is a 10/10 with expert level service and even accommodations for kids.
The menu is not huge, which I personally appreciate! The fresh bread, antipasto (crispy brussels), and main courses were fantastic. Meals were pricey, but the quality made it worth it, in my opinion. We considered dessert but were too full from dinner.
This lovely Italian restaurant was a delight in so many ways. The service was good, the wine excellent, the ambiance spot on. We had dinner for five; I reveled in the salmon; stuffed with shrimp and crab and a cream sauce. Even the fingerling potatoes and veggies were crisp and superb. Mother and sister had a special; pan-seared halibut with broccoli and carrots. Vegan son found some delicious butternut squash ravioli, hold the cheese, and father proclaimed it the "best restaurant he had ever visited" over his calamari salad. He is given to superlatives. Dessert was the flourless chocolate cake, a pyramid of creamy chocolate, topped with whipped cream and a strawberry garnish. I waddled from the table with a fabulous glow, vowing to return ASAP to do it all over again. And so we did. A lovely Anniversary dinner with coq au vin, Rigatoni Bolognese and braised beef with mushrooms and truffles papardelle. Still superb!
A cute little restaurant that packs one hell of a punch in the culinary brilliance that is Trattoria Da Lepri! This beautiful establishment demands your attention when It comes to hearty dishes and mouth watering desserts. 5 stars all day!!
Trattoria Da Lepri is our favorite restaurant to eat at. The food is outstanding and the service excellent. We've eaten at all the top-rated restaurants in the area and Trattoria Da Lepri tops them all. It's like having NYCity fine dining here in Ellington, CT
We held our company holiday dinner at Trattoria Da Lepri this year. From the moment we made a reservation through the end of our dinner, the service was excellent. The owner touched base prior to the evening to confirm our reservation and see if we wanted any appetizers ready upon arrival. The food was incredible, and portion sizes were just right. The desserts and cocktails were just as delicious as the main course. I will definitely be back, and I know that the rest of our team would agree. Thank you for an excellent evening!
